Spreker: Wolfgang Müller

Wolfgang Mueller has more than 25 years of operational experience flying for airlines in Austria and China.

He is a CRM trainer, CRM training developer and CRM trainer trainer. In 1997 he founded his company aviation forum delivering safety and human factors trainings for organisations from different backgrounds like aviation, healthcare, IT-support or professional firefighting, to name a few.

Wolfgang is a member of EAAP (European Association for Aviation Psychology). He received training in Human Factors in Flight Safety, SMS, Risk Management and Safety Investigation. Just recently he has participated in “safety differently” masterclasses with Sydney Dekker and Robert J. de Boer.

The ideas of safety differently and safety II have been following him for more than 25 years now. It were the early books of Sidney Dekker and Erik Hollnagel that profoundly changed his thinking about safety and human factors. Ever since then his guiding principle has been: “Vom Risikofaktor Mensch zum Sicherheitsfaktor Mensch!” (From human risk factor to human safety factor)

Over the past years his special interest began to circle around the question how the concept of safety differently and its underlying positive view of the human being can help reframing the self-perception of frontline workers regarding their own personal contribution to the success of their organisation.

His workshops are exploring the possible connections between the new views on safety and aspects like work fulfillment and individual job satisfaction.
